Spring Limited Edition “Sakurahime” is now available from the “KIMONO series” created from real kimonos!
Sakura Hime” is a spring-only cherry blossom-patterned kimono with a small furisode and hakama style.
The hakama is a style familiar to students in the Taisho era (1912-1926), and is often worn for graduation ceremonies in modern times. The style with the sleeves rolled up with a sash is sometimes worn for action-packed events such as archery, calligraphy, and competitive karuta.
The cherry blossom-patterned kimono on the upper half of the body is called a kofurisode, a style with shorter sleeves than a regular furisode. It also comes with a ribbon-shaped obi so that it can be enjoyed as a mini-length kimono without hakama.
You can match it with either boots or tabi socks + sandals.
If you wear your boots, you can easily take outdoor photos with the kimono without worrying about dragging the hem of the kimono and making it dirty.
Please choose your favorite hakama from two colors: black and dark red.
We are also particular about the fabric of the parts that come in contact with the doll, reducing the risk of color migration. (Although it has passed a one-week patch test, there is a risk depending on the environment, such as humidity and temperature, so please be careful not to leave the doll wearing it while in storage.)
Ko-Murisode also has a hole for a stand socket for smartdoll users, but Hakama does not have a stand hole. Since the stand is to be used inside the hakama, a stand with legs that extend backward at an angle will cause the hakama to bulge out. Please use a stand with legs that extend straight down.
The package is packaged in a paulownia wood box, which is ideal for preserving pure silk. The paulownia box automatically regulates humidity and has the effect of repelling insects. When not being worn, please store it in the paulownia box.
The KIMONO series is made by unraveling a real silk kimono and tailoring it to doll size. Please use the kimono born and reproduced from the traditional Japanese technique for your doll.
